Managing your organization

Your organization is a fortress

On numerous the organization data is separated at the root level. This means that we have thick walls between data from your organization and data from other organizations. At numerous we take data security very seriously. The data in your organization belongs to you - technically data in organizations belong to the organization owners who manage the organization.

When you work in an organization you will notice that the organization URL you set when creating the organization is always present in the URL. Only users, who are invited to your organization can access this URL and these URLs are completely safe to share.

Manage organization

You manage your organization in the upper left corner

You can create organizations and switch organizations by clicking on your organization name in the upper left corner. If you are a member of several organizations, they will show up on this list.

Create an organization

To create an organization open the menu by clicking on your organization name in the upper left corner. Click + Create new organization. This will guide you through creating a new organization.

Switch organizations

To switch organizations open the menu by clicking on your organization name in the upper left corner. Click on the organization you want to switch to.

View all organizations

To view all organizations open the menu by clicking on your organization name in the upper left corner. Click View all organizations. On this list, you can also see organizations you have pending invitations to.

Log out

To log out open the menu by clicking on your organization name in the upper left corner. Click Log out.

User types

TypeDescription
OwnerOwners have no restrictions, they can even edit their organization customizations. Owners can manage and delete organizations.
DeveloperDevelopers have no restrictions in the workspace.
SimulatorSimulators can view results, reports, and run simulations from projects they created themselves.
GuestGuests can view results and reports from projects they are invited to.

Add user

To add a user to the organization go to Organization > Members in the sidebar and click + Invite user.

Enter the user email and choose a user type. If the user does not have a numerous account, the user will receive an email with instructions to sign up. If the user already has a numerous account, there will be a notification with a pending invitation on the platform.

Change user type

To change the user type of a user go to Organization > Members in the sidebar, find the user in the list and change the user type. You can not change your own user type.

Remove

To remove a user from the organization go to Organization > Members in the sidebar, find the user and click on the three dots. Click Remove user.

Pending invitations

On the Organization > Members -page you can view pending invitations. Next to the invitation on the three dots you can resend the invitation email or delete the invitation if it is no longer relevant.

Settings

On the Organization > Settings -page you can change the organization name, URL slug, and upload a custom logo.

Leave organization

You can leave the organization. If you are the last Owner in the organization you can not leave the organization. Instead you can choose to delete the organization

Delete organization

You can delete the organization. The organization will be kept for a retention period of 30 days, where you can recover the organization from deletion. After 30 days all data in the organization is deleted.
